Mariah Carey has released a soulful new song entitled "The Art of Letting Go," complete with an uber-sexy cover featuring the star, as of this morning.
"I'm making a statement of my own opinion/just a brief little reminder to help myself remember / I no longer live in your dominion," Carey sings before belting out;
"Letting go ain't easy / it's just exceedingly hurtful / because somebody you used to know is flinging your world around/and they watch as you're falling down, down, down, down."
In the super sexy cover art for the new track, the 43-year-old shows off her curves while posing in a skin-baring one-piece swimsuit in front of a sunset. Take a look:
Carey dropped the track this morning on Facebook.
"For the first time ever, here it is... รขThe Art of Letting Go'!!!" she wrote, adding in a message to her fans that "This is such a personal record to me."
"I wrote the lyrics so that anyone and everyone could relate to them and hopefully release anything that they need to let go of that's holding them back or bringing them down."
"Thank you for sharing this experience with me! Listen to the song below and ask me your questions right here! I'll try reply to as many as I can LYM!!! MC."
Listen to "The Art of Letting Go" above and tell us: Do you think it lives up to Mariah's high standards? Or have her better musical years long passed?
