It's the end of an error era.
Despite telling fans to please bear with them while they get their $ hit together, The Jonas Brothers have now made it official: they've broken up.
"It's over for now," Kevin Jonas tells People, while brother Nick adds: "It's really hard to say 'forever.' We're closing a chapter, for sure."
On October 9, The Jonas Brothers canceled their fall tour, just two days prior to it's scheduled start date.
A publicist cited "a deep rift within the band" at the time and said there was a big a disagreement over their music direction."
Since then, however, rumors have spread of a substance abuse issue for Joe Jonas after he was spotted around Los Angeles with a known drug counselor.
The singer's rep shot down this report in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, however, and the siblings have closed ranks regarding what, precisely, has led them down this unfortunate path.
We now know it was "a unanimous decision" to split, according to Joe, and that issues first arose from Nick during a meeting on October 3.
"I was feeling kind of trapped," he tells People. "I needed to share my heart with my brothers."
Are you sad The Jonas Brothers have broken up?
