The newly-engaged Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly agreed to draft up a prenuptial agreement, or prenup, before they tie the knot.
There's no conflict about the deal at all. It's a mutual decision.
The two are committed to the marriage - with reports saying the Kimye wedding will be soon - and are NOT hollering "we want prenup" because they fear the worst.
It's just that both understand the business of things, and when both parties bring impressive wealth into a marriage it's simply the intelligent thing to do.
Kim's late father, attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., told her repeatedly about the importance, nay, necessity of contracts when it came to money issues.
She had one with Kris Humphries, too, and a good thing, as his attempts to milk that situation for publicity and/or money became were fruitless in the end.
As for Kimye, they will have a joint account for living expenses, don't worry. And between their lifestyles and spending on North West, it won't be small.
Some reports say Kim Kardashian is worth $ 40 million and Kanye more than $ 90 million, while others say otherwise and claim she's actually worth more.
Neither would surprise us. She's loaded, Hollywood Walk of Fame star or not, and Kanye is obviously very successful. And the prenup is just smart.
What do you think, though: Will they even make it to the altar?
If so, how long will the Kimye marriage last?
