Oklahoma City Thunder star Kendrick Perkins has been arrested in connection with allegedly punching a woman in the face outside of a nightclub in July.
Officials say Perkins and-in-law Quincy Alpough were outside Nox nightclub in Harris County, Tex., when they got into an altercation with a woman.
Mikeeta Cotton claims that she was driving her car in front of the club and got into a fender bender with Alpough's female cousin, who came at her.
Alpough quickly joined in, pushing her and yelling, Cotton claims, and Perkins also entered the melee, smacking her in the face with a closed fist.
Perkins is accused of hitting Cotton's brother as well, while a third person says that Alpough elbowed her in the throat, knocking her unconscious.
Cops investigated the situation and decided there was enough evidence to charge Perkins, who is free on $ 1,000 bail, with misdemeanor assault.
Thunder GM Sam Presti issued a statement in response:
“We are aware of the allegations and take this matter seriously. We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.â€
In 2011, Perkins was arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct for his alleged involvement in a fight outside a bar in Beaumont, Tex.
