New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is one of the country's most popular and high-profile politicians, but Jersey Shore stars Snooki and JWoww are not impressed.
It was the Republican's recent appeal against the court ruling allowing same-sex marriage in the Garden State that left a bad taste in JWoww's mouth.
"He's retarded," she said. "He's a disgrace to Jersey just like we were!"
Well, at least half of that statement is undeniably accurate, if you follow.
Chris Christie wants the state to appeal a judge's ruling that it must allow gay marriage; a definite decision on the matter will be made by October 21.
JWoww, meanwhile, has issued a mea culpa of sorts. She took to her Twitter on Tuesday, October 1, to apologize for her offensive word choice:
"Caught off guard last night and said things I normally don't say," the MTV reality star wrote. "I find it disgusting people are still against gay marriage."
"So because of that I called [Christie] a name which wasn't appropriate."
"I do find him disgusting and judgmental. I'm for gay equality. So I apologize for my choice of words but I do not apologize for how I feel towards him."
