Chris Brown has countersued a man who has accused the R&B star and his entourage of attacking him at a recording studio earlier this year.
The singer filed an assault and battery lawsuit against Sha'keir Duarte, who claimed in an earlier suit that he was injured when a fight involving Brown.
The melee erupted between Chris Brown and Frank Ocean's entourages back in January outside a West Hollywood studio. No charges were filed.
Duarte's lawsuit filed in August accused Brown of being the aggressor in the fight, during which a gay slur was allegedly hurled at the bisexual Ocean.
Brown's countersuit, however, claims Duarte instigated the brouhaha by pushing, kicking and punching the R&B singer and threatening to kill him.
Brown's lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, while Duarte's attorney Joseph Porter III did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.
Chris is currently in rehab for anger management, following his most recent arrest at a D.C. hotel, where he was charged with misdemeanor assault.
