Lorde Stands By Selena Gomez Slam, Calls Out Singer as Anti-Feminist

Lorde is not backing down.

The 16-year old, who has faced heat herself for lyrics some have dubbed "deeply racist," recently came out swinging about Selena Gomez.

Referring to her fellow young artist's hit "Come & Get It," Lorde said to E! News of Selena's message:

"I'm a feminist and the theme of her song is, ‘'When you're ready, come and get it from me. "I'm sick of women being portrayed this way."

In response to this diss, Cher Lloyd came to Selena's defense, wondering why Lorde had "to go do that" and telling J-14:

"What a knob. Why would she do that? She's sitting at number one... I think she's going to eat her words... and I think for someone who's gaining so much success so early, she should be considering herself lucky."

But Lorde isn't fazed. She's gonna speak her mind and stick to her views and that's that.

"I have pretty strong morals and opinions being in pop music, and I can't help but express those, which I think people appreciate," Lorde told MTV News. "I don't think I say anything that isn't backed up. Most of the time I will stand by things that I've said."

Earlier this summer, in her very first interview with MTV News, Lorde took Justin Bieber to task for not providing "a real depiction of what it's like to be a young person."

What is Selena's take on Lorde's point of view?

"I appreciate everybody's opinion, especially because I've covered her music lots of times. But I think at the same time, that feminism and that specific thing is very sensitive," said Gomez, who is also fighting of talk these days that she cried in concert over Bieber.

"On my opinion it's not feminism if you're tearing down another artist," Selena continued. "So that's the only thing that I feel, but you know, she's young. She's got so much talent, she's gonna take over; she gets it, so I don't take it to heart."

Seems like a rather mature stance.

Where so do you stand on Come & Get It? Are the lyrics anti-feminist?
