Hailie Scott, Eminem's Daughter, Crowned Homecoming Queen

Hailie Scott, Eminem's Daughter, Crowned Homecoming Queen

At Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, Michigan on Friday, the real homecoming queen stood up.

And it was Hailie Scott!

Yes, the 17-year old daughter of Eminem - who was name-dropped multiple times in many of the rapper's early hits - received this honor from her classmates while her dad watched from afar, holed up inside a school building in order to avoid making a scene.

"He wanted Hailie to have her own moment," an unnamed parent told The Macomb Daily, while another onlooker said of Eminem: "He just looked like a proud father."

Scott was photographed alongside the school's homecoming king at the 50-yard line of the football field and later rode in a convertible in the school's homecoming parade.

A parent told the newspaper that Hailie did not earn the crown due to her famous family.

"I think all of the kids in the district have shown respect to their family and just let her live a normal life here out of the spotlight," this parent said. "I think that speaks very highly of the Chippewa Valley community to not try to take advantage of their fame."

Eminem's next album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, comes out on November 5.
