Miley Cyus doesn't understand the criticism.
Yes, she Twerks. And, sure, she's often nearly naked. But that doesn't mean the singer isn't a big-time feminist.
Quite the opposite, Miley argues in a new interview with BBC's "Newsbeat."
“I feel like I’m one of the biggest feminists in the world because I tell women to not be scared of anything," Cyrus says in the Q&A.
The artist came under a bit of fire this week from Jennifer Lawrence, who call out Miley directly... but did say it's "disgusting" that sex sells as well as it does for young celebrities.
But Miley disagrees.
“Guys get to show their titties on the beach, why can’t we?†she asks. “I don’t understand the double standard."
Yeah! Seriously! Women should be free to be as topless as they want to be at all times.
